Ascender® Plans & Permissions

The content and functionality you have access to in Ascender will vary based on your plan, and if you’re a Plus user, your permissions.

What’s Included in Each Plan

You can identify what plan you’re on by logging into Ascender, selecting the image-20250916-135542.png Profile and Account Settings icon, and then selecting My Profile. Your plan will be listed under your name in the top left.

Connect

Connect plans are available to individuals and include access to short-form content (articles, podcasts, videos) and community events and forums.

Pro

Pro plans are available to individuals and include access to short-form content (articles, podcasts, videos), community events and forums, and learning content (courses, certifications).

Plus

Plus plans are available to companies and include access to short-form content (articles, podcasts, videos), community events and forums, and learning content (courses, certifications). Plus plans include additional content to support your engagement with Force Management and team management & reporting functionality for managers and leaders.


Plus Permissions

Some individuals in Ascender Plus have additional team management and reporting functionality available to them. Team Management and Reports can be found in the dropdown that appears when clicking on the image-20250916-135542.png Profile and Account Settings icon. Here’s an overview of what’s included for managers and admins.

Manager Permissions

Manage Assignments for Your Team Members

If you have direct reports in Ascender, you’ll be able to assign courses to your team members. This is done via the Assignments tab of Team Management.

Manage Reports for Your Team Members

If you have direct reports in Ascender, you’ll be able to pull reports on your team members. This is done via Reports.

Admin Permissions

Authorized Purchaser

If you have Authorized Purchaser permissions, you'll be able to purchase additional technology licenses or methodology access via Digital Change Order. This is done via the Access tab of Team Management.

Team Management → Access (Purchases)

Manage Users

If you have company-wide Manage Users permissions, you’ll be able to invite and manage your company's users, as well as manage custom fields. This is done via the Users tab of Team Management.

Manage Assignments

If you have company-wide Manage Assignments permissions, you’ll be able to create and manage your company's assignments. This is done via the Assignments tab of Team Management.

Manage Users and Manage Assignments

If you have company-wide Manage Users and Manage Assignments permissions, you’ll have additional access to manage participants for FM services-related assignments.

Manage Assignees

Manage Reports

If you have company-wide Manage Reports permissions, you’ll be able to pull reports on any user in the company. This is done via Reports.
