Log in to Ascender, so that you can access all the great content and complete your assignments. This article covers various ways to log in, including SSO, User Name and Password, and Linked Accounts.

Instructions
Log In for the First Time (New User)

Click Confirm Email in your welcome email. This will launch Ascender and validate your email address.

Set up your password or authenticate with your SSO provider as prompted.

Agree to any terms and policies as prompted.

Complete user onboarding, which includes: providing additional information about your company and role, selecting your interest areas, and watching the Welcome Video.

Select Complete and then Start Exploring to finish your onboarding and start using Ascender.
Log In (Returning User)

Navigate to https://my.ascender.co/FM_Ascender_Theme/Login.

Enter in your Email Address and select Continue with Login.

If you are setup with SSO, you will automatically get logged in or be prompted to re-authenticate.

If you are not setup with SSO, then log in with your password or using socials.

For SSO users

You will be prompted to re-authenticate with your SSO if you have cleared your cookies, are using a different browser/window/computer, or if your company requires re-authentication after a certain amount of time.

If you receive an error when attempting to log in:

The most common error is that you may not be set up as an authorized user for Ascender in your company’s SSO system. Please contact your manager or sales enablement team regarding your Ascender access.

Ensure your email address in Ascender matches your email address in your company’s SSO system. This can be a common error if you had a name change which updated your email address or if you have multiple email aliases. Please contact your manager or sales enablement team to confirm the correct email address if this may be the case.

In order to log in with socials, you must first Link Social Login Accounts. This is only available for Connect and Pro users.

New to SSO? Request SSO for your Company
In order to log in with SSO, your company must configure it through our Request SSO Process. If your identity provider supports SAML and you're interested in setting up Single Sign-On (SSO), please ask your FM consultant or sales contact about how to get the process started.
