Opportunity Manager®: Knowledge & Support

Configure User Permissions

This section will help walk you through the process of allocating or revoking license to individual users, bulk adding or removing licenses, and setting up a permission set for non-admin users if Opportunity Manager® was not Installed for All Users.

You will need the ‘Manage Users’ permission to be able to complete this section of the setup for Opportunity Manager

From the App Launcher → FM Opportunity Manager app → Opportunity Manager® Configuration tab → Manage Members Tab

Manage Members Tab

On the Manage Members tab, administrators can grant current Salesforce users access to the Command of the Message® and/or MEDDPICC components of the Opportunity Manager® app.

To grant access to a specific user:

  1. Scroll or search for the user record in the Search People search engine

  2. Check the applicable CoM User and/or MEDDPICC User checkboxes to assign a license to that user

To remove access from a specific user:

  1. Scroll or Search for the user record in the Search People search engine

  2. Uncheck the applicable CoM User and/or MEDDPICC User checkboxes to remove a license from that user

Read-Only Licenses

On the Manage Members tab, administrators can grant Read-only licenses to current Salesforce users. Read-only licenses allow non-sales and non-customer-facing roles visibility to view, but not edit, information within Opportunity Manager®.

Uploading Users in Bulk

It is possible to grant users access to Opportunity Manager® in bulk. To do this, you will follow the standard bulk update process that your organization follows, and include the following tags per user license type:

Command of the Message® license tag: FMOppMgr__Is_CoM_User__c

MEDDPICC license tag: FMOppMgr__Is_MEDDPICC_User__c

Read-Only license tag: FMOppMgr__Read_Only_User__c
