Opportunity Manager®: Knowledge & Support

FAQs (App Exchange)

General

What's the difference between AppExchange OM and Regular OM?

Opportunity Manager MEDDICC – AppExchange is listed on the AppExchange, meaning it has gone through the formal Salesforce Security Review and is visible to prospects visiting the AppExchange. When a managed package passes the security review, any custom apps, tabs, and objects it uses won't count against the related limits in the Salesforce org, and the package doesn't count against contractual license limits (though other limits, like custom field counts, still apply). Opportunity Manager MEDDICC – AppExchange does not contain Relationship Mapper, Quick Links, the OM Performance Dashboard, or read-only access (and will not have the new Account Planner).

FM's traditional OM package – Opportunity Manager for CoM/MEDDICC is still available and will continue to be enhanced; it's being renamed to Opportunity Manager Enterprise. Being unlisted on the AppExchange, its resources count against a customer's org limits (custom apps, tabs, objects). It enables customers to expand opportunity management to the CoM methodology (including custom value card content), contains Relationship Mapper, and read-only access (and will include the new Account Planner).

What is the current OM pricing model?

What Happens When…

A customer finds Opportunity Manager and clicks "Get It Now" from the Salesforce App Exchange

A lead is generated and sent to Sales. Clients cannot buy and download OM directly from the App Exchange. Sales runs with the lead, and if it closes, Halee provides the download link following the implementation call.

App Updates

Can updates to Opportunity Manager be automatically pushed to a client instance?

Yes and no — depends on the update type. Minor patch updates can be pushed automatically, but new feature releases need to be downloaded by the customer (FM provides the download link).

Licensing

How does a customer assign licenses?
  1. Navigate to Setup

  2. Search for and open "Installed Packages"

  3. Click "Manage Licenses" next to "Opp MEDDICC"

Are Read-Only licenses available?
